CBS News reported that Google’s Gemini Spark is positioned as an autonomous AI agent that can perform tasks such as composing emails, making reservations, and booking hotels.
CBS said Spark is integrated with Google tools including Gmail and Calendar for contextual understanding. CBS also reported that Spark can connect to external tools such as Instacart and OpenTable.
CBS reported Google said Spark will require user permission before “high-stakes actions like spending money or sending emails.” CBS said testing begins this week, with rollout to Google AI Ultra subscribers next week.
