Google announced upgraded Search capabilities at Google I/O, including creating search-based AI agents and launching “information agents.”
Google said the information agents can continuously monitor the web for updates and notify users when criteria are met. Google gave examples including tracking an athlete’s new shoe collaboration and searching for apartments with specified amenities.
Google also described agentic coding-style experiences that can offer to create trackers, such as fitness and meal tracking, based on user schedule and context.
