OpenAI said it was recognized as a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Enterprise AI Coding Agents.
The post pointed to enterprise-scale deployments of Codex.
OpenAI stated that Codex is used by more than 4 million people each week.
The post cited customers including Cisco, Datadog, Dell Technologies, and NVIDIA.
OpenAI listed enterprise controls it said support agentic development workflows, including approval gates, role-based access control, customizable policies, OS-level sandboxing, and auditable workspace governance.
